Established in the year 1939, today it serves more than 8000 passengers every day. It is located in the Civil Enclave area of Lohegaon, Pune. It not only serves as a domestic airport but is a stop for various international flights as well such as flights to Dubai and Germany. It has a total of two terminals, with all the latest facilities including the aerobridges for the passengers, each for domestic and international flights respectively.
The Terminal 1 of the Pune airport serves for the domestic flights which operate up to 10 major cities of India. The major domestic airlines that operate more frequently through this terminal include Air India Limited, Kingfisher, Jet Airways/Jet Lite, Indigo, Spice Jet and Go Air whereas the international airlines include Lufthansa and Air India Express which operate from the Terminal 2 of the airport.

The last flight from the airport is Jet Airways 0496 which leaves at 11:45 PM to Chennai.
